Use EditTypeSpecial to enter a character not represented by the keyboard at the cursor position.
EditTypeSpecial may also be entered as EditTypeSp[ecial] or TypeSp[ecial].
Required Operands
CHAR is the symbolic name of the character to enter. Use one of the following:
Cent Cent sign
VertBar Vertical bar character
If a selection is active, the operation is applied successively against each line within the selection.
Pressing Alt-$ (or Alt-4) invokes the following command:
=> EditTypeSpecial Cent
Pressing Alt-| (or Alt- invokes the following command:
=> EditTypeSpecial VertBar
