Use EditFormat to rearrange the text within the current paragraph or current selection such that all lines except the last line are filled with text.
If lines are selected, all lines within the selection will be merged into a single paragraph. Otherwise, the current paragraph is formatted.
EditFormat may also be entered as EditForm[at] or Form[at].
EditFormat may also be invoked by pressing F5.
Optional Operands
WRAPCOL is the column at which words wrap to the next line. WRAPCOL can be used to compress a paragraph to a smaller width.
Default: limit column of the current zone.
KEEP specifies whether extra blanks between words are to be maintained. Specify "On" or "Y[es]" to maintain extra blanks. Specify "Of[f]" or "N[o]" to eliminate extra blanks.
Default: On.
EditFormat updates a paragraph such that each line is filled to its maximum with text. A new line is begun only when the next word cannot fit on the line currently being processed.
EditFormat is considered part of the Word-wrap facility, and hence uses the formatting guidelines defined by the Word-wrap facility.
