Use EditDeleteLine to delete a specified group of lines.
EditDeleteLine may also be entered as DeleteLine, DelLine, or Del[ete].
The group of lines can be specified by pre-selecting the lines (see Selection) or by using the FCT operand. If neither a pre-selection or FCT operand is provided, the group of lines consists solely of the current line.
Optional Operands
FCT specifies the number of lines to delete. If FCT is greater than the number of lines remaining or is specified as an asterisk (*), deletion will proceed to end of session.
Default: 1.
EditDeleteLine may be invoked without operands by pressing Alt-Delete.
Return Codes
OK Successful.
Examples
Delete 6 lines:
=> del 6
Delete all lines starting at the cursor line through the end of the session:
=> del *
