TXL variables are the attributes of a BIM, workstation, PDS, or VSE directory.
Commands which access directories, such as DirAttach or DirRead, set the TXL variables. There is one set of TXL variables. They are initialized at startup and held until shutdown. The values of the TXL variables remain constant until changed by a command that accesses a directory specifically.
