SNA Server can be used to establish a connection between a workstation and the host.
For information on configuring SNA server, see the 'LUs for APPC: Overview' help panel in the 'SNA Server Administrator' application running on the server.
Configuring SNA Server consists of the following steps:
Assign a local LU to the server (not a connection).
Configure the local LU.
Assign the remote LU to a connection (not a server).
Configure the remote LU. The remote LU name is normally "BIMEDIT".
Create/configure the "EDITLU62" mode.
Shutdown and restart SNA server.
