Use FileCheckDelete to sever the relationship between the master and slave files of a checkout relationship and to delete the slave file.

FileCheckDelete may also be entered as FileCheckDel[ete], FileCheckPur[ge], CheckDel[ete], or CheckPur[ge].

FileCheckDelete is supported for BIM files only.  It is not supported for workstation, PDS, or VSE files.

Required Operands

FILE specifies either the master or the slave BIM file in a check-out relationship.

FileCheckDelete severs the checkout relationship, then purges the slave file.  The master is again made eligible for checkout.  FileCheckDelete sets last referenced file to the master file.

If FILE is a Host file, and if file synchronization (see File Synchronization Facility) is active for the file, the corresponding workstation file is deleted as well.

When Valid

If the file is not checked out to the user requesting FileCheckDelete, the user must have DEF access level for the master file directory.

Return Codes

OK Successful.

CK File is not part of a checkout relationship.

ED File is being edited.

NF File not found.

SC Inadequate access level.

Procedure Notes

FileCheckDelete sets the TXM variables to the attributes of the master file.
