Use FileAuditClear to fully or partially clear a file's audit trail (see File Auditing).

FileAuditClear may also be entered as FileAuditCl[ear], AuditClearFile, AuditClFile, AuditCl[ear], or AudCl[ear].

FileAuditClear supports BIM and workstation files only.  It does not support PDS or VSE files.

Required Operands

FILE is the BIM or workstation file whose audit trail is to be cleared.

DATE specifies how much of the audit trail to clear.  If DATE is specified as an asterisk (*), the entire audit trail is cleared.  Otherwise, DATE is entered according to Date Format.  In this instance, the audit trail is cleared of all entries up to and including DATE.

FileAuditClear sets the last referenced file.

When Valid

FILE must not currently be undergoing editing.

For BIM files, if the host predefined variable MMPAUCTL has been set to a value of 1, FileAuditClear is only available to the System Administrator. Otherwise, the user must have DEF access level for the FILE directory.  FILE must not be either the master or the slave in a checkout relationship.

Return Codes

OK Successful.

CK File is part of a checkout relationship.

ED File is being edited.

NF File not found.

SC Inadequate access level.

Procedure Notes

FileAuditClear sets the TXM variables to the attributes of FILE.
