Program and data files distributed as part of BIM-EDIT/XP are generally installed in the system directory. The system directory is usually of the name C:\BIMEDIT\SYSTEM. The C:\BIMEDIT portion can be changed by setting the OS/2 environment variable BIMPATH to another value.
In general, the system directory should remain as created by the installation process because subsequent installation of a new BIM-EDIT/XP release will replace any files created in the system directory. Any customization should take place by creating files in the Site Directory, the Default User Directory, or the Specific User Directory.
