Release 1.4B was completed on 09/18/95. The following are enhancements, changes, and fixes that occurred after Release 1.4A was made available.
Enhancements / Changes
When a sequence number zone is set for a session, the GetClipboard, EditNewLine, and EditDuplicateLine commands now automatically overlay a sequence number on a newly created line.
The EditLowerCase command has been renamed to EditLowerLine. The EditUpperCase command has been renamed to EditUpperLine.
The EditLowerChar and EditUpperChar commands have been added. The EditLowerChar command translates one character at a time from upper to lower case and the EditUpperChar command transates one character at a time from lower to upper case.
The SessionWindow command has been added. The SessionWindow command allows session windows to be quickly positioned and/or sized.
The SystemArrange command has been added. The SystemArrange command allows all windows to be positioned and sized according to a specified layout.
Fixes
The EditDeleteChar command can now be used to delete a grid or column selection. The EditBackspace command invokes the EditDeleteChar command. when a grid or column selection is active.
The FileAlter command left the file open if a syntax error occurred. Fixed.
In some cases, the SessionSave or SessionFile command updated a workstation file's update date and time even if no updates actually occurred. This caused at times an unnecessary download when using the file synchronization facility. Fixed.
When using the file synchronization facility, an unnecessary download was caused when the host file had previously been listed or edited and the update date and time were 00/00/00, 00:00:00. Fixed.
The PutClipboard command with DEL=YES specified while a column or grid selection is active causes a loop if a particular line within the selection is blank within all of the columns selected. Fixed.
The GetClipboard command abended when the clipboard contents were of format grid or column and the cursor was positioned on the 'top of session' line. Fixed.
If a notebook dialog is closed by double-clicking on the upper left hand corner close icon, subsequent dialog boxes do not display. Fixed.
Some minor problems if the word-wrap feature have been corrected.
The ClipClear command failed to repaint the information line. Fixed.
Warning messages now show in black.
The FileAuditClear command was not setting the last referenced file for workstation files.
If a user switches to another OS/2 session while the logon password is on the command line, when the /XP session is later reactivated, the password is displayed. Fixed.
The PdsCopy and PdsRename command were missing. Added.
The FileExecute command failed to display an error when a BIM-EDIT/XP procedure was not found. Fixed.
The last character in the message information line was sometimes being only partially painted. Fixed.
The PutClipboard command was not being rejected when the session was a ClipList session. Fixed. The command is no longer allowed with this session type.
A number of minor bugs related to the selection facility have been fixed.
When overtyping a non-blank character with a blank caused a line to be returned to its start-of-session status, the line was not being repainted in black. Fixed.
The MaxCol setting on the workstation Lib DET and FULL formats was not set correctly. Corrected.
